sad…
Kristen, my amazingly beautiful and wonderful wife (yeah, she’s smokin’ hot) is in Charlotte with her parents. If you know anything about us, you know why she is in Charlotte this weekend. For about a month now, we’ve known she was going to be gone and so I planned “MAN WEEKEND.” Man weekend runs from Friday night to Monday afternoon and involves quite a bit of fishing, a small amount water sports, a good deal of relaxation, and an extreme amount of testosterone (alright, its really just me and Jason for the most part and Justin joined in for Friday night and Saturday). So for the men out there this sounds great, right…..
…until you are in the middle of it and realize how sad you are that your wife is not going to be home until Monday night and even though you miss her incredibly bad, there’s not a thing you can do about it. I’m sad. I love my wife and I miss her.
Since no one will probably read this until at least Tuesday, what DID you do for Memorial Day Weekend?

Truly sad indeed. I think everyone knows what I did for Memorial Day (weekend that is), my wife and I went to the National Polka festival in Texas, but I am going to spend my Monday on I-20 driving 12 hours.
I do see the company you are keeping though… IRL people to do “man things” with, but you just turn off your Twit’s, I see how it goes.

Same thing as you… my wife ditched me for the weekend, too.

Friday – Went to an open house for a student.
Saturday – Family came in town from Georgia. Went to another students open house. Went to my cousin’s open house.
Sunday – Cookout with my brothers and watched the Indy500. Went camping in the evening.
Monday – Continued on my camping section of Memorial weekend. Watched Resurrecting the Champ & P.S. I Love You with Allison, Matt, Trey, and Grace.
That was my weekend. It was fun. Tiring. Fullfilling.
Hope you can join us today for the small group man. Take care

It is sad – you should have come here!!!
I went camping with my wife and a bunch of crazy friends. This is the way we should spend every warm holiday – in a tent. No. Probably not. It was fun this time though. Plus we got to see a bear. No. Didn’t happen either, bear tracks, no bear. We did see aliens. No. We didn’t, but we talked about aliens. How we are strangers and aliens in a strange land. And how the Catholic church apparently issued a statement letting all Catholics know that it is alright to believe in aliens. What about bigfoot? How come he gets no good press anymore? Except maybe in Florida. But I’m not in Florida.
