house hunting
Many of you may not know that we are in the house hunting process. This is a place we will describe as no fun. I will not berate the person anymore, but there is someone in Auburn who decided to make an offer on a house we wanted and made it in the same day. You may say, “Well, that happens sometimes.” My response would be, “But it is 2008 in a slowing market and there are a ton of houses on the market and this clearly intelligent and brilliant person offered not asking price, but OVER asking price.” So, we say with great confidence (mainly because we know we’re supposed to say this in this situation, although we don’t alway necessarily believe it right away), “I guess that wasn’t where God wanted us.”
So the hunt continues. We looking at a few more that “have potential.” You’ll continue to receive updates on this. Maybe soon, I’ll post some pictures.

They might have had the inside skinny on your offer or that you were making the offer. I know thats not legal but it happens. They wanted to make sure they got the house over your offer so they bid over the asking price knowing you would bid under the asking price.
