what do you think

I read a post a few minutes ago over at ragamuffinsoul.com (yes I quote it a lot, but when you find something you like, you go with it) on worship leading. It was a letter to a worship leader. I’m challenging you to go read it and then come back here and leave a comment. Click here and it will take you there.
My response was simply this. I’ve heard it said, “Real people get saved when they see real Believers worshiping a real God in a real way.” After reading Carlos letter, do you think this statement doesn’t apply? Are you that guy that wonders the same thing as the guy/gal in the letter? General thoughts on the subject.

Right off the top it I think about how many times I have asked myself that in different situations over the last 10-15 years. That person looks like they are really into it, why don’t I feel like that? She has her hands raised HIGH to the sky.
There is no magical secret, it is the Spirit moving within us, but, we are all in different places in our walk, and we don’t all go forward all the time, and certainly not all at the same time.
It’s the old college basketball thing… they start beating their chest and you just know they are into it all the way, and you know they are all in over there at Buckhead.
How do you translate that into souls on Sunday? You write yourself a letter apparently, bet he thinks about it next week.

I can tell you this, Carlos hasn’t ever been to a worship service at Cornerstone. There are people in the seats that have a lot of passion. We even have one person that shows her passion every week by waving a flag. Others raise their hands and sing with all their might. Personally I just melt inside every week. I am so thankful that I found a place that showed me God. I may not beat my chest but I’m there with you brother.
