Advent

We began the advent season today preparing our hearts for the celebration of the coming of Christ. All I can think about is how to make less of Christmas and more of Jesus. That’s what we’re saying with this series we’re in called Simple Christmas. We’ve made Jesus simple and Christmas complex as we’ve made it more about us than Him, but we want to change that this year. This is the video that we introed with today.

This message in this video breaks my heart. 450 billion at Christmas. Congress is trying to pass a 700 billion dollar bailout for our economy. 10 billion dollars would solve the world’s water crisis. I don’t do math well, but whatever 700 billion plus 450 billion is seriously dwarfs the amount it would take to help other people rather than ourselves.

Make Him great. Make Christmas small.
