stats

okay, so I can’t lose the stats on my page like I said. Apparently they just come with it. And Scott made a great point about knowing what works for the ability to reach more people (see comments on post below). So, the deal is, I’m done looking at my stats every time I log [...]

I Am Not

I had the opportunity to preach this past Sunday. The last Sunday of the year. It was quite an honor. Of course, it always is to me. I love every chance I have to speak, but it provides me with a great deal of anxiety. When you only have the opportunity to do something every [...]

fotu

I told some people yesterday that I would post this…yesterday. Just now getting around to it unfortunately, so I apologize to those people. I’m sure you could find this all over the internet, and there are conflicting stories as to where it came from. I don’t think it matters where it came from, really. The [...]

Culture…

Culture is a thought that is constantly rolling over in my mind. How do we engage it? How do we create it? So I ran across this video of Derek Webb talking about the Bible and culture and how we engage it. What do you think?

Great poetry

This morning I subscribed to Micah’s blog, College Rambling (although, I think that name is going to have to change soon). There’s a link to it on my blog and I kept wondering why Micah was not updating his blog, until I realized this morning that I was not subscribed to it as I had [...]

Charlie Brown Christmas

I watched this clip today and cried. I love Charlie Brown. I love this simplicity and boldness.

Passerby

Lately, I have really been getting back into music. That last comment sounds crazy since music is my life, so I should clarify. Sometimes, after you’re are around something nonstop, you get NOF syndrome (numbness of frequency). That is, you’re exposed to something so much that you just become numb to it and take it [...]

Blue Christmas

I’ve always loved this song. I remember driving down the road with my dad (shifting the gears while he pushed the clutch) the first time I heard this song. One thing I’ll never forget is his laughter over this song (especially the guy in the background that can’t stop laughing). Enjoy.
