leadership development // its a continual process

This week, my pastor, Rusty Hutson, and one of the other key leaders in our church, Frank Oprandy, went and spent roughly 48 hours with some of the most excellent, challenging, humble, and all around regular guys on the planet who are pioneers in leadership…in my opinion.

Rusty is always pushing me to be a better leader. He will be the first to make certain that I become the leader that God has called me to be. He’s a pastor that takes that part of his job, leadership development, seriously.

What I love about this week is that he demonstrated something very important to me. You never stop learning. You’re never at a place where you cease to need other leaders to pour into you. And, he made a sacrifice by leaving his comfortable home and normal routine for a few days to be poured into by other great leaders. That’s just one of the reasons that I love being right where I am and love being poured into by my pastor.

Go here to see what Tim Stevens had to say.

“living is learning and learning is living. You cease to learn…you cease to live.
