the all things // what have you become
If you’ve been in the church for any length of time, you’ve heard the phrase from the apostle Paul, “I have become all things to all people, that I might save some,” or at least some variation there of. Without a doubt you have also heard the debate that ensues on “Well, how far can we really take that? Should we go get drunk in order to save the drunkard?” (sarcasm implied)
Just wondering what context you have heard this phrase used in. How does it affect you when you hear it? Do you think you have molded yourself to it at some point in order to “win some?” Does it have negative connotations for you? Positive? Do you feel like its compromise? Did you become a follower of Christ because someone else became all things?
Let the conversation begin…
