Passion 2010 // awakening

For the past few days several students from Cornerstone and a few leaders….along with approximately 21, 985 university students from literally all over the world, gathered in Atlanta for one purpose, Jesus. We sang together. We prayed together. We cried together. We were together.

Not part of an event, but part of a movement!

We were challenged to make His name famous. To make tremble at His word. To be restored. To pursue Jesus and Him only.

While no longer a university student, I’m privileged to work with some seriously passionate 18-25 year olds that continue to challenge me to live with reckless abandon and I hope that I am never far from their love for Jesus.

What I love second most about what we experienced over the past few days is that we didn’t just go to a random conference and get all excited. We were challenged to “Do Something Now.” So far 14000 towels and 69000 pairs of socks have been brought for the homeless in Atlanta. Oh yeah, and there was a goal that 500k would be raised for various projects around the world over the four days from Saturday until tomorrow morning. So far…560k has been raised. Don’t doubt the power of Holy Spirit. Don’t doubt the power of Holy Spirit through this generation of people when they are inspired for kingdom work.

I’m praying that this shot of excitement will carry in my spirit and that I will forget about my glory and the pursuit of my desires and that I will pursue Him. Tremble at His word. And make Him the greatest in all things.
