Haiti:

This tiny nation has experienced one of the most devastating disasters in history. The damage is catastrophic and it feels like the only thing we can really do is watch and wait for more bad news of what is really happening at ground zero.

We’ve spent a good bit of time today researching, connecting with resources we know nationally and internationally and discussing what the best option is for us, as Cornerstone Church, to take in the coming days to aid in relief and recovery.

After much prayer and discussion today we’ve decided that our best next step will be to take an offering this Sunday apart from our normal giving that will go directly to the ongoing efforts in Haiti. Apart from that, we will continue to be in contact with organizations in the coming weeks to decide how we can be of further assistance. Right now, we don’t know what that will look like. But we do know, based on everything we have been informed of, this is the fastest and most direct way we can help in the short term.

Let’s do something big and let it be the start…
